Providing a Retirement Sanctuary For Our Arizona Saddlebreds
Arizona American Saddlebred Foundation is located at a private residence in New River, Arizona. We offer our horses round the clock care and large turn out areas in a natural horse friendly environment. They are allowed to move freely and be part of a well balanced and happy herd. We're just minutes from the Tonto National Forest which provides us endless amounts of trails and places to retrain our ridable horses for a new career. Neighbors will often see us taking our herd members for walks and we frequently visit a local lake during the hot summer months to let the horses swim. We are open to visitors by appointment only.
How Can You Help? Successful adoptions are the key to being able to continue helping more horses. We understand not everyone is capable of making a lifetime commitment to an animal however there are many other ways to help. As a non-profit organization we rely on the generosity of our supporters. We are always looking for Saddlebred enthusiast to help with marketing, event planning, fundraising, and most importantly socializing with our residents. AASF is a volunteer only organization and all tax deductible donations support the care we provide and help us honor our commitment to protecting this noble breed. Donors are welcome to visit our facility and references are available upon request. EIN 47-4559335
Arizona American Saddlebred Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to educate, rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and rehome Saddlebreds in need. We provide a safe haven for the abused and neglected while recovering both mentally and physically. Our commitment extends to slaughter bound horses, owner surrenders and show horses that have retired due to injuries, age or have just simply lost their competitive edge. Adoptable horses participate in a training program that emphasizes on the well being of each individual equine. For our unridable horses, they live the life of leisure as a sanctuary resident or are adopted as a companion horse only. By promoting our breeds personality, big hearts and versatility we can help preserve the legacy of the American Saddlebred, the horse America made.
